Quicks, cheddar – 2.50
This award winning Vintage Cheddar has a truly unique intense flavour, which is both complex and balanced. This cheese, at 15kg is smaller than the standard size and has been allowed to mature for over two years within which time the distinctive full-bodied taste and more brittle texture has developed. This cheese has received a gold award and trophy for the Best Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar at the World Cheese Awards.
Beauvale, blue – 3.50
Beauvale has been carefully developed to perfection by Robin Skailes and Howard Lucas in Cropwell Bishop, Nottingham, we love its soft melt in the mouth texture and mellow flavour. Beauvale is perfect for both Stilton fans, and those of you that prefer a milder blue flavour.
Waterloo, soft cheese – 3.00
This is a mild, semi-soft Guernsey milk cheese with a buttery flavour , made using a wash curd method which dilutes the acidity to achieve a soft, gentle flavour. Its distinctive yellow colour is due to the natural carotene in the unpasteurised Guernsey milk which comes from a single herd of pedigree Guernsey cows near Henley.
Farleigh Wallop, Goats cheese – 3.00
The Farleigh Wallop is rolled in thyme, a seasoning that balances beautifully with the sharp bite of the cheese.
